I have always been a healthy eater but now that I am putting a lot of hours into training, I am starting to pay attention to the fuel and nutrition I am actually getting from the food I eat. I am learning that my body is constantly trying to recover and repair from my workouts and it needs the proper nutrition to do this. I love learning about the nutritional value of all sorts of different foods and my approach to eating has completely changed. Instead of eating only to maintain a healthy body weight, I now find myself focusing on how each thing I consume will benefit my body and provide the essential nutrients it needs to keep training and perform at its top level.
